Zanna Records Reaches 132 Global Library Placements Across Air China, Shanghai Gyms and the World’s Biggest Video Apps
Fifty-four tracks submitted, fifty-four accepted — and the winners were not the rock singles or the marquee collaborations, but the quietest instrumentals in the catalog. The independent Arizona label’s music is now licensable across four continents.
SEDONA, Ariz. — September 17, 2026 — Zanna Records announced today that its catalog has reached 132 placements across global sync and production music libraries — and that all 54 tracks submitted have now been accepted into at least one library. The label began submitting in late August. Every placement is non-exclusive, and Zanna Records retains full ownership of both master and publishing on every title.
The label’s catalog is distributed to libraries to more than 100 sync libraries worldwide. A first submission of 14 tracks produced 34 placements; the figure has roughly quadrupled since, at a consistent rate of two to three placements per track.
WHERE THE MUSIC LANDED
What makes the result unusual is not the number but the spread. Zanna Records music is now licensable across four distinct categories of use:
— Fitness floors — Le Fit (乐刻), which operates hundreds of 24-hour gyms across Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen, and SUPERMONKEY (超级猩猩), the Shenzhen-based class-studio chain with over 240 studios in ten Chinese cities and more than a million members served
— Airline cabins — Air China, the national flag carrier of the People’s Republic of China and a Star Alliance member, operating over 300 aircraft with in-flight entertainment including twelve music channels
— Design and marketing platforms — Gaoding Design (稿定设计), China’s leading online design platform; Epub360 (意派), the interactive marketing page builder whose published clients include China Merchants Bank, China Construction Bank, Huawei and Budweiser; and the commercial stock libraries ibaotu (包图网) and 588ku (千库网)
— Video editing apps — Filmora, Wondershare’s desktop editor, and VideoShow, a mobile editor reporting 400 million users
Additional placements include Agora, the real-time voice and video platform whose network carries roughly 80 billion monthly minutes across more than 200 countries and regions, along with Tyger Media, Heely Media, Audiofruits, Sounds HQ, Perfect Culture, Taewah and others across Asia, Europe and North America.
WHAT THE CATALOG LEARNED
Zanna Records is candid that the results overturned its expectations. The titles placing most widely are not the rock singles or the collaborations with well-known players, but the quietest material in the catalog — slow, melodic, string-led instrumentals such as “Memories,” “You Never Said I Love You (Strings)” and “Amore (Oboe).”
The label read the pattern and acted on it, shifting production toward instrumental and alternate-arrangement versions. Recent acceptances include “Moonlight Shadows (Instrumental),” “Thinking of You (Instrumental),” “Life is Precious (Acoustic Version),” “Storm Future (Remix Instrumental)” and “Don’t Tread on Us (Instrumental Version).”
ONE SONG, MANY LIVES
No title illustrates the approach better than “You Are My Destiny,” which now exists in the library system in multiple distinct arrangements — a Danny Saber remix featuring three-time Grammy-nominated keyboardist Joseph Wooten, a Classical Piano version, a Classical Irish Opera version, and an Irish Violin Instrumental featuring Claudette Lyons, made in honor of her Irish ancestry.
Each arrangement is a separate asset with its own tagging, its own searches and its own placements. What began as artistic restlessness turned out to be a licensing strategy.
ON BROADCAST
Separately, Gianluca Zanna composed 6 tracks of the original score for the documentary “Cronaca di un Crimine”, which aired on Rai 2 on September 18, 2026. Produced by Rose Production with Rai Documentari and directed by Fabrizio Silvestri, the film features “Moonlight Shadows” as part of its score.
