A destiny-driven reunion 28 years in the making unfolds live on Italian television as the international EDM duo shares their extraordinary journey and premieres “You Are My Destiny Future Remix” for Italian audiences
SEDONA, AZ / ROME, ITALY — On February 11, 2026, international music duo Luca and Claudette appeared as featured guests on the popular Italian television program Vizi Capitale, airing on Italy’s digital channel 13. The live broadcast, hosted by Marco Baldini, became an unforgettable afternoon of music, storytelling, and a reunion that could only be described as destiny.
During the appearance, Gianluca Zanna—known to fans worldwide as Luca—shared the remarkable story of his journey from Rome to America. After growing up in Rome’s boarding school system, Zanna built a successful career in the Italian music industry as the founder and publisher of Contatto Discografico, a respected music industry magazine. When he made the courageous decision to leave Italy and escape what he describes as the country’s “fiscal socialist system,” he spent his final 15 months in Rome working as a gladiator on the streets—the ancient city’s cobblestones serving as both his stage and his launchpad to a new life. In October 1998, he emigrated to the United States, beginning a new chapter that would ultimately lead him to Sedona, Arizona, and to Claudette.

The broadcast also introduced Italian audiences to Claudette Lyons, the singer of Luca and Claudette, and featured the Italian television premiere of the duo’s music video for “You Are My Destiny Future Remix”—the same track that placed Gianluca Zanna at #168 on Billboard’s official Spotify playlist “Top 100: Every #1 Hit Since 1958,” making him the only artist on the list without major label backing.
A Reunion Written by Destiny
In a moment that left the hosts and audience visibly moved, the broadcast took an extraordinary turn. Among those present in the studio was Morena, the legendary former singer of Ricchi e Poveri—one of Italy’s most beloved bands of the 1970s and 80s. As it turned out, Morena and her husband had been clients and sponsors of Zanna’s Contatto Discografico magazine years earlier. The two had known each other personally during Zanna’s years in the Italian music industry.
Morena recalled the last time she had seen Gianluca in Rome—at a coffee place, after he had closed his magazine, dressed in his Roman gladiator costume and heading to work on the streets before his emigration to America. That chance encounter in the late 1990s was the last time they saw each other—until yesterday’s live broadcast brought them together again, 28 years later, on national Italian television.
“Whether you call it coincidence or destiny, this moment was meant to happen,” said Zanna. “The last time Morena saw me, I was a gladiator on the streets of Rome with nothing but a dream. Now I’m back on Italian television with Claudette by my side, our music playing for the whole country. Life has a way of bringing everything full circle.”
