The independent Arizona label’s music is now licensable inside the world’s fifth-largest music market — through ibaotu, one of China’s leading creative content platforms, and aboard the national flag carrier of the People’s Republic of China.

SEDONA, Ariz. — September 2, 2026 — Zanna Records announced today that its catalog has cleared into the Chinese licensing market, with titles accepted for Air China’s in-flight entertainment system and listed on ibaotu, one of China’s largest commercial creative content platforms. The acceptances follow the label’s entry into 34 global sync and production music libraries announced last week, and extend a first-time submission into a market that few independent Western catalogs reach.
China is the world’s fifth-largest music market. Licensing there operates under a regulatory and commercial framework that differs substantially from the United States and Europe, and access typically runs through domestic platforms rather than direct negotiation. Zanna Records reached those platforms through Audiofruits, the distribution partner that syndicates the label’s catalog to sync libraries worldwide.

AIR CHINA
Air China is the national flag carrier of the People’s Republic of China and a member of Star Alliance, operating a fleet of more than 300 Airbus and Boeing aircraft with in-flight entertainment that includes twelve music channels.
Airline licensing is a distinct category. Approved music is typically used during boarding and deplaning, beneath pre-flight safety programming, and as featured audio within the aircraft’s internal entertainment and radio channels — a captive audience measured in millions of passengers a year, and a use case that favors polished, unobtrusive recordings built to sit underneath a moment rather than dominate it.
That is precisely the material Zanna Records submitted. Instrumental titles including “Every Time,” “Amore (Oboe)” and “Here They Come” were built as clean beds, and were accepted accordingly.
IBAOTU
ibaotu (包图网), operated by Shanghai Baotu Network Technology, is a leading domestic supplier of licensed commercial creative content in China, with copyright registration and authorization systems in place and more than 130 million assets available on its platform. Its users are the Chinese content creators, advertisers, broadcasters and corporate media teams who license music for video and audio production.
Zanna Records titles are now live on ibaotu and on its Southeast Asia edition, placing the catalog in front of a creator base that no amount of Western radio or streaming promotion would have reached.
NEW PLACEMENTS

Titles accepted in the latest round span rock, EDM, classical and pop:
— “Live with No Regrets (Analog Rebellion)” and its instrumental version — featuring Kevin Martin of Candlebox, Rudy Sarzo, Robert Sarzo and Robin Diaz, produced by Danny Saber
— “You Are My Destiny — Danny Saber Remix” featuring Joseph Wooten, and its instrumental version
— “Just Let It Go” — Gianluca Zanna and Claudette Lyons
— “Memories”
— “You Never Said I Love You (Strings)”
— “Here They Come” (Instrumental) and “Every Time” (Instrumental)

All placements are non-exclusive. Zanna Records retains full ownership of both master and publishing on every title, and remains free to license the same recordings elsewhere, release them commercially and continue promoting them to radio and streaming worldwide.

“I came to America from Italy with nothing, and I built this label in the Arizona desert with no major behind me. Now my music is cleared to play on airplanes flying into Beijing, and it sits in a Chinese library where creators I will never meet can find it and use it. I am not going to pretend I understand that market yet. But the door is open, and thirty years of work walked through it.”
— Gianluca Zanna, Founder and CEO, Zanna Records
Additional instrumental versions are in preparation for submission to the same platforms.
