At its heart, this is a story about two things the world needs right now more than ever: redemption and the protection of the innocent. THE STORY — A HERO FORGED IN DARKNESS
Luca Zanna was born in Rome. Raised in military boarding schools. Forged into one of Italy's most feared and precise operatives — a hitman who served the powerful, asked no questions, and left no trace. For twenty years he was Il Fantasma. The Ghost.
Then one night in 1997, a child ran into a room he was watching through a scope — and something in him that had been buried for twenty years refused to stay buried. He lowered the weapon. Walked away from everything he had built. And disappeared.

On August 21, 2017 — the day of the Great American Solar Eclipse — Claudette Lyons was the victim of a violent and brutal attack on a Sedona trail that should have killed her.
She crossed the threshold between life and death. And in that darkness, something ancient was waiting. The spirit of Zayin — an eternal guardian who has protected the innocent across centuries and civilizations — chose Claudette as its vessel. When she came back from the edge of death, she did not come back alone.
In real life, Claudette Lyons is a singer, Board Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, and yogi — a woman whose gifts have always been oriented toward healing, protection, and the elevation of the human spirit. Her survival of that eclipse day attack, and what she brought back from that experience, became the foundation of one of the most powerful origin stories in modern comics.
