London's Ghost

London's Ghost Music & Lyrics by Gianluca Zanna © 2024 ASCAP Concrete jungles turn to haunted shadows, foggy kinda flow,

Big Ben no longer ticking, whisper secrets that we know.

Red phone booths abandoned, whispers through the mist,

City's soul gone missing, in the air it twists.

Tea cups cracked, cobblestones cracked, Thames dried out,

Queen's crown rusted like a legend with no clout.

Double-decker spirits roll through Buckingham lanes,

Pigeons reminiscing old school, lost the reins.

London's gone, vanished in the morning haze,

Echoes of a kingdom's heart, lost in ghostly maze.

Urban legends telling tails through shattered panes,

City's memory remains, history in chains.

Piccadilly whispers secrets only shadows now can tell,

Thieves and poets roaming, city's spell, oh well.

Tattered Union Jacks, storytelling cracks,

Sleepy Hollow vibe, mind playing tricks, facts.

Underground pathways with a ghostly hum,

People used to rush, now everybody numb.

Streetlamps flicker in the cold night's grip,

London Bridge fell, loose from reality's slip.

Lost in the archives, libraries dusty grey,

Storybooks and fables of when the town held sway.

Tower of London in a spectral glow,

Rewind the tape, slow. London’s all-time low.
